Yoga of Plants: Tulsi Bhakti Meditation

  • Bhakti Yoga DC 928 5th Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20001 United States (map)

You are invited to receive the lessons and medicine of Bhakti Yoga DC's beloved Tulsi plant. Holy Basil, as she is also called, is a master healer and teacher. In India, Tulsi stands with Krishna in the temples and with her people in their households.

During this practice, you will experience a yoga practice to open mind, heart and body to receive communication from Tulsi. To more deeply connect with the messages and healing of Tulsi, you will sip Tulsi tea as you sit in meditative commune with her. To close our practice, share offerings of gratitude for the healing a wisdom you receive from Tulsi and appreciation for the blessings she bestows on the Bhakti Yoga DC Community.

We can learn so much from plants, when we reopen the lines of communication between humans and plants. So much of the wisdom humans carry about plants came directly from the plants themselves. Back when our ancestors were in better communication with the natural world, plants transmitted their messages through visions, emotions, feelings and sensations in the body.
